Duende Coffee & Space is a coffee shop located on the coastal edge of Jl. Mattirotasi, facing the town square of Parepare, South Sulawesi. The architectural form responds to the cultural context of Sulawesi, drawing inspiration from the region’s traditional stilt house typology. This reference is translated into a contemporary composition that emphasizes vertical proportion, layered roof forms, and an elevated spatial character. Through warm materials, open terraces, and a carefully composed façade, the building presents an expression that is both elegant and dignified. Beyond serving as a place for coffee and social gathering, the project is envisioned as a new landmark for the local youth collective, connecting everyday urban life with the cultural memory of the place.
